NDX Leads Rally as FB, AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, PCLN, AMZN and Biotech Rebound...FB Leads SPX...Financials Strengthen...VIX Falls...

Eight of nine sectors moved higher on Tuesday…XLV, XLB and XLK were the strongest sectors…XLU was the weakest sector.    

Breadth strengthened as advancers led decliners 2.77 to 1 on the NYSE and 2.93 to 1 on the NASDAQ.

Technical Commentary: 
QQQ + 1.71%, IWM + 1.44%, DIA + 1.09%, SPY + 1.08%.

NDX led a broad based rally on Wednesday with big point gains from FB, AAPL, MSFT, CELG, BIIB, GOOG, PCLN, AMZN, CMCSA, BIDU, REGN, QCOM, ALXN, AMGN, EBAY, ESRX, FOXA and VRTX which accounted for 44.7 points of the 62.21 point gain.  FB +7.25% also led the SPX on Wednesday.

AA +0.47, +3.75% gapped higher following earnings after the close on Tuesday.  The gain indicates that institutions are willing to buy stocks that deliver good quarterly earnings and guidance.

Biotech was hot with IBB +9.25, +4.10% helping XLV +2.14% as the leading sector.

JPM, WFC and FAST report earnings on Friday morning.


Financials finally rallied with strong gains from ETFC +6.01%, SCHW, AXP, MS, AIG and BLK.
