NDX, RUT, XLF Lead Stocks Higher as VIX Moves Lower...

 
Five of nine sectors moved higher on Thursday.  XLE, XLF and XLP were the strongest sectors.

The SPY formed an inside day doji trading in a range of 81 cents just below horizontal resistance.  The intermediate term trend is still up.

Money Flow was typical as the Euro moved slightly lower and TNX moved higher and bonds closed near unchanged.   XLF and the SPX moved slightly higher.  The most recent SPX breakout has a chart target of 1,428 within 12 weeks of the breakout.

The VIX moved down and did confirm the slightly higher SPX on Thursday.

SPY moved up 21 cents on volume of 113 million shares.

Breadth weakened as advancers led decliners 1.31 to 1 on the NYSE and 1.54 to 1 on the NASDAQ.

Bull flags with entry signals on Tuesday SPY, X and LVS continued to move higher on Thursday.   A, CF, PCLN, CRM and LVS paused at resistance.

ESI, VMW, INFA, CHKP, LRCX, CTXS, CREE, VECO which gave bull flag entry signals on Wednesday continued to move higher on Thursday.

NFLX and SOHU gave entry signal on Thursday.  CAT and CTRP are still in a bull flag today…look for potential entry on Friday.
