Today was a classic example of the “bad new was good news” that we have spoken about in the past. AXP which missed analysts estimates yesterday by one cent rose 9.74% today and was the strongest stock in the Dow. Apparently, traders were relieved the news was not worse than it was. Another great example that it is not the news, rather how the market decides to interpret the news that counts.
Financial stocks were the strongest sector on Tuesday with regional bank ZION rising +15.5%, insurance companies AFL +12.84% and TRV +6.15%, banks BAC +8.33%, C +6.61%, WFC +4.59% and USB +5.3%.
Steel stocks STLD +15.04%, NUE +6.25%, SCHN +7.24% and X +6.89% moved higher.
Semiconductor stocks were also strong: NVLS, MRVL, XLNX, NSM, ALTR, LLTC, TXN

Such detail. All the earnings and stocks that will be announcing in the next few days. It is great to put the stocks staying above or below the 30 MA in a watch list and see how they behave each day. Don't know when you find the time to post all this GREAT INFO. Maybe in your "spare time"!! That serves as a good example for all of us, who in general are much less busy then you, Dave, proving that it all CAN be done.. Thanks again.......
