AAPL Close Above Short-term Resistance...Euro Falls...


Two sectors moved higher on Thursdayand one remained the same… XLP and XLU were the strongest sectors…XLK remained the same.   XLB was the weakest sector. 

Breadth weakened but with decliners leading advancers…1.32 to 1 on the NYSE and 1.63 to 1 on the NASDAQ…

Technical Commentary:
The SPY was down 20 cents forming another spinning top in its twelve day consolidation.  QQQ +0.09%, SPY -0.13%, IWM -0.33%, DIA -0.21% continued to trade in a narrow range.  AAPL shares moved up 13.52 closing above recent resistance of its consolidation/basing pattern.    FB moved down 40 cents.

The Euro closed down 125 pips to close at 1.3396 in a bull flag pattern.

Disk storage stocks WDC and STX were mixed.

Coal stocks WLT, ANR, CNX, JRCC, BTU, ACI, were lower on Thursday.
