Thursday Starts With Lower Open...

3:36 pm ET - Rally failed Nasdaq futures hit resistance and fell back to support...we'll watch the close with interest. 3:12 pm ET - With less than 50 minutes before the closing bell both the Nasdaq and SP continue to trade down from the support break of their early moring trading range. During the last 15 minutes the Nasdaq futures have started to rally coming off an intra-day double bottom formation. At this time it is near the resistance high between the DB and a successful breakout would give a price target back near the 1,100 where it was trading this morning. Gold stocks have continued to move higher while BIDU which is still up for the day has pulled back from its intra-day highs... 2:17 pm ET - Nasdaq and SP have continued to trade below their early trading range on the downside...and gold stock have continued to surge...AEM +6.4%, GOLD +6.3%, GG +6.48%, GDX +4.59%, NEM +2.94%, GLD +2.64% and BIDU +2.94%... 11:16 am ET - Nasdaq and SP breaking trading range to the downside...gold stocks continue strong to the upside... 10:30 am ET - Nasdaq and SP markets staying in trading range during first hour...gold stocks stronger...BIDU also up 9:48 am ET - Nadaq has found an early support and is rising... 9:36 am ET - Gold related stocks mentioned before the open are moving higher at the open... BMO - About 15 minutes before the open the SP -14 and Nasdaq -8 are down, pointing to a lower open. BIDU is higher in pre-market trading and coal stocks. Gold prices rose $8 overnight, so watch gold stocks like AEM, GG, GOLD, NEM, GDX, GLD to see if any support bounce develops here this morning.
