A Personal Observation

I'm sure that most everyone is aware that Tim Russert, the "Meet the Press" host and NBC political analyst and commentator passed away on Friday afternoon of a heart attack at work. He had recently returned from a family vacation in Italy. You likely have seen much of the televised tributes to him by his professional colleagues. He was a man respected by many and was a true professional in his field. He will be missed by millions of Americans. While I never had the privilege to meet him, I admired his professionalism and enthusiasm as a viewer for many years, as did many others. His situation is an important reminder of those things that are most important; life, health, family and faith. Trading is about money. But if that is all it is about, it is not enough. Rember as amazing as trading is, it takes a distant second place to those significantly more important aspects of life. Being a profitable trader can provide the money to enagage in wonderful, enjoyable and memorable activities with families, friends and loved ones. Let's make the most of the time, talents and resources we have and be the best we can be in all aspects of our life, not just trading. Remember, none of us knows the day... It is my understanding that his son Luke will be interviewed on "Today" Monday morning, June 16 at 7 am.

You're so right. None of us is promised tomorrow - so let's make most of what today has to offer (in all aspects) and what we have to offer this day (and each other).
Thank you for not only sharing your professional trading knowledge, but also your wisdom.
Gratefully,
Robert

Dave,
very nicely stated and good reminder to us all. It is important to keep things in prospective. Yesterday was Fathers day and as much as I enjoyed spending time with family, my thought went out to Tim's family. May god give them the patience.

Lets not forget the main reason we are doing this, to have better ability to spend time with things that are more important to us Family.
