NDX +37.68, +0.35%and SPX +18.72, +0.57%.  NDX Is a bull flag bounce continuation.  SPX opened lower spent the morning in a trading range which shifted into an uptrend in the afternoon and closed higher.  SPX is a breakout continuation today. 

MSFT, TSLA, CMG, ALGN, CSX, LVS, KMI, WHR and DFS reported EPS after the close Wednesday.  TSLA +64.67, +4.06% rose and MSFT -4.74, -2.24% fell in after-hours trading, following better than forecast EPS and revenues.

Nine of eleven sectors were higher on Wednesday, led by XLU, XLRE and XLB

Utilities leaders:  ETR, LNT, NI, XEL

Real Estate leaders:  WELL, SLG, VTR, PEAK

Materials leaders:  DOW, SHW, FCX, APD

SPY up 1.85 at 326.86 on 57.7 million shares, below average volume, up on similar volume.

VIX down .52 at 24.32

PFE, DOW, MCD led the DJIA, 23 advancers, +2

HCA, NVR BBY UHS led the SPX, 361 advancers

AMD, ISRG XEL MRNA led the NDX, 68 advancers

Breadth weakened on Wednesday as advancers led 1,742 to 1,236 on the NYSE and decliners led 1,789 to 1,566 on the NASDAQ
