Seven sectors were higher on Tuesday, led by utilities XLU +1.20% and staples XLP +1.12%.  


SPY down .18 at 258.67 on 57.4 million shares, 4% below average volume.  Down slightly on higher volume.
VIX up .49 at 9.89
Oil down .30 to 56.94
TLT up .53 at 126.64…on 6.3 million shares, 16% below average.  Up on higher volume.


DWDP +1.28%, and PG +1.08%, led the DJIA, 20 advancers.
GGP +16.78%, MAC +8.43% and EXPD +7.91% led the SPX.
WBA +3.00%, INCY +2.57%, QCOM +2.53%, VIAB +2.48%, and CMCSA +2.39%, led the NDX.

Intermediate and long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is up.

Up: QQQ, DIA,
Down: SPY, IWM,

Breadth weakened on Tuesday as decliners led 1,693 to 1,224 on the NYSE and led 2,047 to 836 on the NASDAQ.

The SPY MFC green line is in upper zone at 94 bullish.
