FOMC Leaves Rates Unchanged...FB, QCOM, TSLA Report after the Close...BABA before the Open...

After the Close Review of Wednesday’s action… QQQ, SPY, QQQ, IWM, earning’s gainers, earning’s losers, financial stocks XLF, FAS, C, GS, BAC, JPM AAPL, INTC, MDLZ, MU, SPY, MOS, UAA, ADM, FB, QCOM, BABA, AMZN, IWM, bull flag setups, VIX… …10:17 pm PT

There was plenty of price volatility today as the FOMC announcement, as expected, left interest rates unchanged.

Seven sectors were higher on Wednesday, led by energy XLE +1.13% and materials XLB +0.49%.  DVN, SWN, MRO, CXO and XEC led energy.

CHKP, CTSH, EA, FISV, IDXX, moved lower on negative eps reaction.

SPY up .34 at 257.49 on 54.2 million shares, 8% below average volume.  Up on lower volume.
VIX up .02 at 10.20
Oil down .37 to 54.27
TLT up .29 at 124.75…on 8.8 million shares, 18% above average.  Up on higher volume.


INTC +2.68%, and DWDP +1.40%, led the DJIA, 20 advancers.
EL +9.22%, DVN +5.91% and GRMN +5.64% led the SPX.
VRSK +5.68%, QCOM +4.80%, MYL +3.19%, VIAB +3.12%, and WYNN +2.75%, led the NDX.

Intermediate and long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is neutral.

Up: DIA, SPY
Down: QQQ, IWM

Breadth weakened on Wednesday as advancers led 1,541 to 1,348 on the NYSE and decliners led 1,758 to 1,110 on the NASDAQ.

The SPY MFC green line is in upper zone at 89.9 bullish.
