Technical Commentary:
Stock futures rallied from overnight lows to produce the first positive Monday in 2013 led by strong stocks like GOOG, LNKD, PCLN, Z, YHOO and AMZN.  Sectors XLP, XLU, XLV and XLY helped lead stocks higher making new highs.

SPY +0.53%, QQQ +0.45%, IWM +0.26%,  and DIA +0.23% moved higher.  SPY nears resistance and a potential horizontal breakout or potential double top.  The QQQ gained notwithstanding AAPL’s move lower on the strength of 68 of its other stocks moving higher.

AAPL -10.42 made a another new low.  FB slipped 6 cents and following its confirmed MACD bullish divergence.

The Euro moved up 1 pips and closed at 1.3026 on Monday and is at its multi-month 1.30 support area.

Trade what you see on the chart of your position. The trend is in consolidation and traders should lock in profits when targets are reached. As always look for re-entry according to your rules.

The SPY’s trend is neutral in a sideways consolidation shifting to a potential horizontal breakout or double top.  XLB continues negative; XLE, XLF, XLI, XLY and XLK are neutral with XLP, XLU, XLV and XLY positive.

SSYS gapped up after reporting earnings on Monday.

The Market Forecast Green Line is pointed up and is nearing the upper reversal zone.
