SPX -38.67 7,541 opened higher and closed lower after early gains faded after the first 60 minutes of trading.  Breadth strengthened as advancers led on the NYSE and decliners decreased but still led on the NASDAQ exchange. 

INTC continued to fall today after the company issued lower guidance last Thursday and AMZN rallied on Monday after its revenue and EPS miss last Thursday.

PLTR -5.34, -2.99%, EPS $0.44 beats $0.41 estimate, sales $2.313B beat $2.183B estimate.

SPY -3.62, -0.48%, above average volume of 50.9 million shares. 

VIX +1.73, 21.15 closed higher.

Mega caps BRK/B, AMZN, WMT, SPCX, TSLA rose, and GOOGL, LLY, AVGO, NVDA, META, AAPL, TSM, MU fell on Monday.  WMT moved above $1 trillion market cap and AMD moved below $1 trillion.

SPCX closed at 134.72, +1.65, volume of 95.6 million shares. SPCX became profitable two weeks and revenues were a $58 billion annual run rate.  Our view is that SPCX, proved its ability to produce profits from its business plan.  IPO at 135 on June 12.  Investors seem to be willing to speculate on this company’s long-term fundamental future.  Rumors continue to circulate that SpaceX may acquire TSLA. 

The SPY MFC green line pointed down at 42.4, price-action fell to Sep 16 support and is defensive. -8.7.

Eight of eleven sectors were higher on Monday, XLK -2.95%.
