SPX/SPY Selloff & Volatility Jumps after Weak ISM PMI Data...

The DJIA, closed down 343 points at 26,573 led by weakness in MMM, MCD, BA, GS and CAT.  Closing below 27,000 for the eighth straight day.

All eleven sectors were lower on Tuesday, led by utilities XLU -0.23% and staples XLP -0.26%.

SPY down 3.53 at 293.24 on 89.9 million shares, 32% above average volume.  Down on higher volume.
VIX up 2.32 at 18.56
Oil down .26 at 53.98
TLT up .18 at 143.26 on 16.8 million shares.
GLD up .76 at 139.63


V +1.33%, JNJ +0.47%, led the DJIA, 4 advancers, -15
MKC +6.81%, PM +2.50% and NKTR +1.18% led the SPX.
ULTA +6.12%, CTRP +1.88%, TSLA +1.59% and WYNN +1.10% led the NDX.


Long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is down.
