SPY and DIA
both made a new all-time intra-day on Thursday, before closing just below their
all-time closing highs.
The DJIA, closed up 45 points at 27,182 led by strength in V, MMM, TRV, PG and UTX. Closing above 27,000 for the second day in a row.
Nine of eleven sectors were higher on Thursday, led by materials XLB +0.78% and real estate XLRE
+0.59%.
SPY up 1.04 at 301.29 on 72.9 million shares, 13% below average volume. Up on higher volume.
VIX down .39 at 14.22
Oil down .85 at 55.12
TLT down .92 at 139.52 on 19.1 million shares.
GLD up .29 at 141.32
V +1.71%, MMM +1.49%, led the DJIA, 22 advancers, +1
LKQ +11.93%, VAR +3.79% and INFO
+3.02% led the SPX.
PYPL +2.96%, TTWO +2.95%, ILMN +2.71% and WYNN +2.41% led the NDX.
