SPX Rally as Oil Rises...

Six of nine sectors moved higher on ThursdayXLE, XLY and XLB were the strongest sectors while XLF was the weakest sector.  Oil rose $1.52 to close at 29.85.
                         
Breadth strengthened as advancers led decliners 1.87 to 1 on the NYSE and as 1.15 to 1 on the NASDAQ.

XLF down .09 at 20.90…on 74.3 million shares, 31% above average volume

AAPL down .49 at 96.30 on 52.1 million shares, 2% above average volume
FB down .19 at 94.16 on 30.5 million shares, 15% above average volume

Technical Commentary:
DIA +0.63%, SPY +0.56%, QQQ -+0.10%, IWM -0.23%.

SPX/SPY opened higher following the weekly jobless claims of 293K vs. 278K estimate and then traded higher, lower and higher in volatile trading day.

Energy stocks led as oil finished higher for the day.  Natural gas stocks like SWN were particularly strong on Thursday.
