DIS Pops, NFLX Drops...JPM Soars after EPS...

SPY, QQQ, DIA, IWM Continue to Rise in Rally Week 16…

JPM +4.69%  after reporting EPS this morning.  This is an atypically strong reaction for JPMSPX EPS reactions this week: 4 positive:  DAL, FAST, JPM, PNC2 negative: WFC, FRC

DIS +11.54% gapped up to an all-time high after announcing a November launch of their new streaming service for $6.99 a month.  NFLX -4.49% gapped down on the DIS news which is viewed as direct competition. NFLX will report EPS on Tuesday, April 16. 

The DJIA, closed up 269 points at 26,412led by strength in DIS, BA, GS, JPM, and MMM.  Tenth straight close above 26,000 since March 1.

Ten of eleven sectors were higher on Friday, led by financials XLF +1.84% and materials XLB +1.32%.

SPY up 1.95 at 290.16 on 69.7 million shares, 4% below average volume. Up on higher volume.

TLT down .88 at 122.67 on 7.0 million shares.

DAL +1.6% on Wed after reporting EPS BMO.  FAST +5.05% today after reporting AMC on Wed.  Tomorrow JPM, WFC and PNC will report BMO and really kick-off earnings season.  Hundreds of companies will report over the next four weeks.

SPX rallied into the close for third day in a row and finished up .11 point after trading lower during the previous four hours.

SPX was range bound until the FOMC minutes were released at 2 pm ET.  SPX rallied into the close and finished up 10 points.

The DJIA, closed up 6 points at 26,157led by weakness in GS, CAT, AAPL, V and IBM.  Eighth straight close above 26,000 since March 1.

Eight of eleven sectors were higher on Wednesday, led by real estate XLRE +0.80% and technology XLK +0.70%.
