Stocks rose higher on Monday’s session adding to Friday’s gains with the S&P 500 closing at a new high to close at 1,808.36 or up 3.28% with SYY leading the pack with a large gap and bounce closing up 3.31 up 9.65% after news of the company acquiring fellow food-service distributor US Foods.
Also bouncing was ANR which gained .96 or 14.61% on heavy volume of 25.6 million shares. TWTR closed the day with a gain of 4.29 up 9.32% on volume of 17.3 million shares to close at a record high.
