QQQ pulled back and IWM bounced in their bull flag price pattern.  

Other bull flags include:  COST, NFLX, AMD, BBY, FB, HD, TWTR. 

The DJIA, closed down 132 points at 24,174, led by weakness in AAPL, BA, GS, CAT and NKE.

Five sectors were higher on Tuesday, led by energy XLE +0.63% and real estate XLRE +0.58%.

SPY down .96 at 270.90, on 42.1 million shares, 43% below average volume. Down on lower volume

VIX up .54 at 16.14

Oil up .22 at 74.28

TLT up .65 at 122.00 on 3.8 million shares.

JNJ +0.93%, XOM +0.59%, led the DJIA, 10 advancers -9.

AYI +12.75%, SCG +4.05% and ALB +3.36%, led the SPX.

ESRX +2.46%, CHTR +1.91%, LBTYA +1.81%, and QRTEA +1.80%, led the NDX.

Intermediate and long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is sideways.

Down: SPY DIA, QQQ

Breadth was stable on Tuesday, as advancers led 1,823 to 1,027 on the NYSE and led 1,560 to 1,273 on the NASDAQ
