All nine sectors moved lower on Thursday. XLP -1.15%, XLU -1.45% and XLK -1.57% were the strongest sectors.
The Euro was down 52 pips to 1.3344 at 5pm EDT on Thursday. TNX was down -0.45 to 19.72. TLT was up $1.47. Financials XLF was down 52 cents.
The broad indexes broke below the low of the high day after the Euro moved lower on continued EU concerns on Thursday with the INDU -1.63%, NDX -1.64%, COMPQ -1.99%, SPX -2.11% and RUT -3.14%. The SPX moved down -26.66 to close at 1,234.35.
SPY moved down -$2.78 on volume of 240.6 million shares on Thursday.
The VIX moved up +1.92 to 30.59.
AMZN, BIDU, GOOG, PCLN and QCOM moved lower on Thursday. AAPL moved higher.
Breadth weakened as decliners led advancers 6.41 to 1 on the NYSE and 5.98 to 1 on the NASDAQ.
