Six of nine sectors moved lower on Thursday. XLK +0.55%, XLV +0.15% and XLY +0.08% were the strongest sectors.
The Euro was up 13 pips to 1.3460 at 5pm EDT on Thursday. TNX was up +0.49 to 21.17. TLT was down 88 cents. Financials XLF was down 7 cents.
The broad indexes paused on Thursday and held above their 10 DMA and 30DMA with the NDX +0.61%, COMPQ +0.22%, SPX -0.19%, INDU -0.21% and RUT -0.90%. The SPX moved down -2.38 to close at 1,244.58.
SPY volume slipped to its lowest volume of the week trading 176.6 million shares.
The VIX moved down -0.39 to 27.41 its lowest close since Oct 28 at 24.53, a non-confirmation.
AAPL, AMZN, BIDU, GOOG and PCLN moved higher on Thursday. QCOM moved down 7 cents.
Breadth weakened as decliners led advancers 1.50 to 1 on the NYSE and 1.72 to 1 on the NASDAQ.
