SPX -2.60, 5,842, opened flat, rose as many as 33 points, but traded up and down in a trading range on Thursday.

The DJI, 41,859 -0.00%, percentage was unchanged.  The NDX +0.15% moved slightly higher. 

Breadth strengthened as advancers increased 359% on the NYSE 167% on the Nasdaq exchanges.  Net change advancing capital increased significantly in the DJI, NDX and SPX indexes.
