SPY, QQQ, IWM Close Lower on Monday...Financials, Health Care, Staples Lead Sectors...PPI Tuesday BMO, FOMC Rate Announcement Wednesday...

Stocks closed lower on Monday.  Seven sectors moved lower including Energy as /CL -6.46% fell. 
 
In addition to UKR / RUS war concerns, economic announcements this week include PPI report Tuesday BMO…
Retail Sales report Wednesday BMO, FOMC announcement at 2 pm and press conference at 2:30 pm ET… 
The Housing Starts and Permits report will be released Thursday BMO.
 
SPY, QQQ, IWM, opened higher and closed lower on Monday.  DIA closed 5 cents higher.
 
 
SPY down 3.07 at 417.00, on 95.7 million shares, below average volume, down on similar volume.
VIX up 1.02 at 31.77
QQQ down 6.23 at 318.87
 
AXP, TRV, KO, V led the DJIA, 15 advancers, +7
NLSN, EPAM, PARA, WRK led the SPX, 223 advancers.
MRNA, DXCM, EBAY, DLTR led the NDX, 25 advancers.
 
The two-year trend term is up.  The one-year trend is up.

Advancers weakened on Monday as decliners led 2,489 to 876 on the NYSE and led 3,603 to 1,164 on the NASDAQ.
 
The SPY MFC green line is pointed down at 22.3 and is short-term bearish.  SPY closed lower and is at its short and intermediate (Jan. 24) term, support area.
