NDX -119.00, -1.09% and SPX +5.46, +0.17%.  NDX was a bull flag bounce pause on Tuesday and is bounce continuation setup.  SPX opened higher and closed higher.  SPX was a breakout test today.  

TXN, ISRG, UAL, COF and WRB reported EPS after the close Tuesday.  ISRG +11.85, +1.80% rose in after-hours trading, following better than forecast EPS and revenues.

Eight of eleven sectors were higher on Tuesday, led by XLE, XLF and XLI

Energy leaders:  OXY, DVN, APA, FANG

Financial leaders:  WFC, CMA, KEY, HBAN

Industrials leaders:  PCAR, FLS, CMI, TXT

SPY up .69 at 325.01 on 57.4 million shares, below average volume, up on higher volume.

VIX up .38 at 24.84

CVX, XOM, NKE led the DJIA, 21 advancers, +11

OXY, GCI, DVN, APA led the SPX, 364 advancers

PCAR, FOXA, CTAS, TCOM led the NDX, 33 advancers

The two-year trend term is up.  The one-year trend is up.

Breadth strengthened on Tuesday as advancers led 2,288 to 713 on the NYSE and led 2,108 to 1,288 on the NASDAQ
