SPY,IWM, FAS Lead Stocks in Bull Flag Bounce Continuation...


Eight of nine sectors moved higher on Tuesday… XLE, XLK, and XLF  were the strongest sectors.

Technical Commentary:
The SPY formed a large white candle as its bull flag bounce continued for the second straight day.  SPY closed above its 144.55 T1 with a flagpole target at 146.82.  The VIX closed lower and did confirm the SPY move up today.

The ES closed up 14.25 at 1,441.50 and NQ futures closed up 39.50 at 2,703.25 as AAPL continued its bounce.  Trading has shifted to the H3, March contract.

Technical Commentary:  
The SPY formed a gap up bullish engulfing in a bull flag bounce as many stocks bounced in a bull flag bounce.  The VIX closed lower and did confirm the SPY move up today.

The ES closed up 13.00 at 1,427.25 and NQ futures closed up 32.25 at 2,663.75 as AAPL bounced again at support.  Trading continued to shift to the H3, March contract on Monday.

Coal stocks ANR, WLT, ACI and BTU, paused on Monday.

The weight of the evidence continues to suggest the Nov 16 low is likely to hold and Monday’s price action is a bull flag bounce.

The Euro held above resistance and closed up 2 pips to 1.3163 on Monday.  TNX, interest rates jumped, TLT, bonds dropped down -1.85 and XLF soared 33 cents to 16.33.

The SPY formed a spinning top in a bull flag pattern above its 30 DMA.  The VIX closed higher and did confirm the SPY move down today.

The ES closed down 3.00 at 1,415 and NQ futures closed down 22.50 at 2,629.25 as AAPL fell to support.  Trading began to shift to the H3, March contract on Friday.

Coal stocks ANR, WLT, ACI and BTU, continued higher on Friday.

The weight of the evidence continues to suggest the Nov 16 low is likely to hold and Friday’s price action is part of a bull flag pattern.

The Euro broke through short-term resistance and closed up 86 pips to 1.3161 on Friday.  TNX, interest rates fell, TLT, bonds moved up 92 cents and XLF was down 6 cents to 16.00.
