SPX +53.09, 7,676 closed above the high of the low day.  Breadth strengthened as advancers led on both the NYSE and NASDAQ exchanges.  The SPX closed above Oct 1 support.

Oil /CL fell -2.19 and closed at 101.25.

Earnings season continues this week with 167 SPX companies reporting including GOOGL, MSFT on Wednesday and AMZN on Thursday.

SPY +5.43, +0.72%, below average volume of 31.7 million shares. 

VIX -1.06, 18.39 closed lower.

Mega caps TSLA, MU, AVGO, AMD NVDA, MSFT, TSM, AMZN, SPCX, rose, and LLY, BRK/B, GOOGL, AAPL, META fell on Monday. 

SPCX closed at 146.91, -0.65, volume of 104 million shares. SPCX reached an important milestone by becoming profitable last Tuesday.  Revenues were a $58 billion annual run rate.  Our view is that SPCX, proved its ability to produce profits from its business plan.  IPO at 135 on June 12.  Investors seem to be willing to speculate on this company’s long-term fundamental future and it took a major step forward on Tuesday.  Rumors continue to circulate that SpaceX may acquire TSLA.  

The SPY MFC green line moved down at 52.1, price-action formed closed above the high of the low day and is counter-trend defensive. -0.7.

Eight of eleven sectors were higher on Monday, XLK +1.76%.
