SPX Moves Higher....

The SPX regained Wednesday’s loss on Thursday gaining +51.88 and closing at 1,172.64. The VIX fell closing down -3.99 at 39.00.  Interest rates moved higher and financial stocks led all sectors.

Breadth strengthened as advancers led decliners 11.80 to 1 on the NYSE and 5.15 to 1 on the NASDAQ

All nine sectors moved higher on Thursday. Financials XLF +5.58% and Energy XLE +5.19% were the strongest sectors.

Interest rates TNX closed +1.99 at 23.36, bond ETF TLT fell $5.50 and Financials XLF was up 68 cents. The Euro moved up 58 pips to close at 1.4235 at 5 pm on Thursday.
