Earnings season continues on Thursday with BK, CTAS, MS, PGR, TFC, UNH, USB reporting BMO and PBCT after market close (AMC).

Semiconductor stocks, SMH -0.22%, a BO penetration closing below resistance.
 
DJI +44.44, +0.13%, closed at 34,933.  HON, V, AAPL and MMM were the biggest point gainers on Wednesday.
NDX +25.90, +0.17%, closed at 14,900.
SPX +5.09, +0.12%, closed at 4,374.
 
TSLA -2.27%, a channel bounce down.
 
SPY = Range Day at all-time high.
DIA = Range Day near all-time high.
QQQ = All-time closing high.
IWM = Channel bounce down near short-term support.

SPY up .65 at 436.24, on 64.1 million shares, below average volume, up on higher volume.  
VIX down .79 at 16.33
 
AAPL, KO, HON, MMM led the DJIA, 15 advancers, +3
WFC, PRGO, AAL, NWL led the SPX, 243 advancers.
MRNA, QCOM, ROST, LULU led the NDX, 47 advancers.

Advancers strengthened on Wednesday as decliners led 1,891 to 1,395 on the NYSE and led 3,022 to 1,396 on the NASDAQ.
