DJI, RUT. SPX Rise as NDX Pulls Back in Bull Flag Pattern...SPX 33 Points Below All-time High...

NDX -54.22, -0.49%, opened lower and closed lower, pulling back for the second straight day, forming a bull flag price pattern.

SPX +9.19, +0.27%, closed higher for the seventh straight day, a breakout continuation just 33 points, 1% below its Feb 2020 all-time closing high.

FB rose +6.46, +1.45%, while AMZN, FB, GOOGL and MSFT fell leading the NDX to a lower close for the second straight day on Monday. 

Two SP500 stocks, BR and SYY report before the open on Tuesday.

Six of eleven sectors were higher on Monday, led by XLE, XLI and XLY.

Industrials leaders:  UAL, FDX, DAL, AAL

SPY up 1.00 at 335.57 on 43.8 million shares, below average volume, up on lower volume.

BA, CAT, DOW led the DJIA, 23 advancers, +3

GCI, MGM, RCL, WYNN led the SPX, 341 advancers

ULTA, MAR, NTAP, ROST led the NDX, 39 advancers

The two-year trend term is up.  The one-year trend is up.

Breadth strengthened slightly on Monday as advancers led 2,171 to 826 on the NYSE and led 2,071 to 1,320 on the NASDAQ
