DJI, SPX, NDX Hit New all-time Highs...EXPE -27%...DIS +5% after-hours...

The DJI, SPX and NDX made new all-time closing highs on Thursday. 

Earnings season finished it’s eighteenth day with some big winners and losers.  Positive earnings reactions continue to lead by a large margin which explains why the SPX, is up 119 points since July 14, closing today at a record high 3,085.18. 

Positive reactions: DXCM, GDDY, RL, DISCA, CTL, CNQ, HII, ALB, QCOM, FOXA, CPRI, EOG, FISV, APD.

Negative reactions: EXPE, TRIP, FOSL, ROKU, HOLX, JCI, RP, UHA, CVNA, USPH, BAND.

After-hours DIS and BKNG were up on positive EPS reactions.

The DJIA, closed up 182 points at 27,674 led by strength in UNH, BA, GS, AAPL and CVX.  Closing above 27,000 for the ninth day in a row.

Seven of eleven sectors were higher on Thursday, led by XLE, XLK and XLF.

SPY up 1.08 at 308.18 on 53.9 million shares, below average volume.  Up on higher volume.

VIX up .11 at 12.73

Oil up .68 at 57.07

TLT down 2.50 at 135.48 on 19.2 million shares

GLD down 2.18 at 138.27

DOW, UNH, GS led the DJIA, 23 advancers, +3

RL, DISCA, CTL led the SPX, 274 advancers

BIDU, QCOM, FOXA, FISV led the NDX, 55 advancers

Long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is up.

Breadth strengthened on Thursday as decliners led 1,587 to 1,364 on the NYSE and advancers led 1,580 to 1,542 on the NASDAQ

The SPX MFC green line is above 80 at 96 and is short-term bullish.
