New Communications Sector XLC Finishes the Day Unchanged...

Monday was the first trading day of Communication Services, XLC as an official sector,  Key stocks were reassigned from technology XLK and consumer discretionary XLY including FB, GOOGL, DIS, T, VZ, CMCSA, NFLX, CHTR, EA and ATVI.

CRM, MSFT and XOM hit new highs on Monday.

The DJIA, closed down 181 points at 26,562, led by weakness in HD, BA, MMM, GS and JNJ.  This is the fifty-first consecutive close above 25,000 since June 15 and the eighth close above 26,000 since Feb 1.

SPY down .97 at 291.02, on 53.4 million shares, 11% below average volume. Down on lower volume.

VIX up .52 at 12.20 

Oil up 1.56 at 72.27

TLT down .30 at 116.80 on 5.5 million shares. 

DIS +2.15%, XOM +1.68%, led the DJIA, 7 advancers, -15

ABMD +9.02%, EW +7.67% and AMD +5.13%, led the SPX.

ALXN +5.34%, SYMC +3.78%, MELI +3.66%, and NFLX +2.33%, led the NDX.

Intermediate and long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is up.

Breadth weakened on Monday, as decliners led 1,943 to 924 on the NYSE and led 1,810 to 1,179 on the NASDAQ
