Futures Pointing to a Higher Open After AA Earnings...
BMO – ES +9 and NQ +12 futures are higher in pre-market trading pointing to a flat to slightly higher open. AAPL +0.91, GOOG +2.46 and BIDU +4.19 are also higher in pre-market trading.
AA beat analyst EPS estimates Wednesday after the close and rose 80 cents or 5.63% in after-hours trading. Look for a gap up this morning in the SPY. Also look for the weekly jobless claims before the open. Forecasts are for 540 K initial claims and 6.1 M continuing claims.

Wednesday's post was outstandingly insightful and on target. Keeps me focused on the chart action and the trend and the discipline to stick with my rules, despite what I may otherwise think or feel.

I thought your Wed. post was your best one. It even made me laugh the way you went off on those comments "it just can't keep going up" made by so many, even the pros and you know who "they" are!
Loved it and appreciate you for taking so much of your time and passing on your many years and expertise to all your followers. Thanks for keeping us focused on the charts and helping us to keep all "the noise" out of our trading.

Hi Dave -
Yes this is one of the best parts of my daily routine - reading your insights and straight talk. And it helps me to stay focused on what's important rather than on all that other stuff. Just as in last Friday's market cap all sorts of comments were made about expectations, but what I took away from it was the one tiny little thing you said that to me was the most important thing - because it was a simple description of the price action - that downward momentum had slowed on Friday. You are the MASTER TECHNICIAN. I love how you just look at the chart and trade what you see.
I hope to remove some of my crutches/training wheels and just trade the chart. Like you say, everything is discounted in price action - what more do you need?

Dave that was a great post,think I will print it off and read it aloud every morning before I start to trade to re -enforce the fact that I will be reward if I trade the charts an not my thoughts and punish if I don't. It,s surprizing how quickly where ready to jump in with the crowd. Discipline and beliefs tested continuosly. truly what must be in the fore front,, where institution net buyers or net sellers
