The SPX +18.78 opened higher started falling after the open as Fed speakers Collins,  and Kashkari added more noise to the intraday volatility, but an afternoon rally lifted the SPX to a higher close.

IWM, DIA and SPY closed above the HOLD for a bull flag bounce trigger.

For the second day, DXY and TNX closed higher, while /CL, GLD and TLT and moved lower.

SPY up 1.79 at 396.03, on 92.9 million shares, average volume, up on higher volume.

VIX down .81 at 23.12

QQQ up 0.01 at 284.82

UNH, CSCO, MRK, WMT led the DJIA, 20 advancers, +3

GPS, LNC, ELV, KEYS led the SPX, 385 advancers

ROST, PANW, MELI, EXC led the NDX, 54 advancers

The two-year trend term is up.  The one-year trend down.

Nine of eleven sectors were higher on Friday, led by XLU, XLRE and XLV.

Advancers strengthened on Friday as advancers led 1,900 to 1,249 on the NYSE and led 2,476 to 2,158 on the NASDAQ.

The SPY MFC green line is pointed down at 88.8 and is counter-trend defensive.  SPY opened higher, closed higher and below its open.
