SPY Hits New High as AAPL Pauses...

SPY rose for the fourth straight day making a new all-time closing high of 285.58.  AAPL -1.96 paused after rising four day following a strong EPS report.

Seven sectors were higher on Tuesday, led by energy XLE +0.74% and industrials XLK +0.71%.

The DJIA, closed up 126 points at 25,628, led by strength in BA, CAT, GS, MMM and HD.  This is the eighteenth consecutive close above 25,000 since June 15.

SPY up .94 at 285.58, on 43.1 million shares, 30% below average volume. Up on higher volume. New all-time high.

VIX down .34 at 10.93.  VIX makes its lowest close since Jan. 12.

Oil up .19 at 69.09

TLT down .62 at 118.67 on 5.3 million shares. 

XOM +2.08%, XOM +1.36%, led the DJIA, 22 advancers, -1.

MOS +5.32%, EMR +4.24% and LKQ +3.84%, led the SPX.

TSLA +10.99%, BMRN +7.93%, ESRX +2.76%, and BIIB +2.62%, led the NDX.

Intermediate and long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is up.

Breadth weakened slightly on Tuesday, as advancers led 1,532 to 1,337 on the NYSE and led 1,638 to 1,250 on the NASDAQ
