The DJIA, closed up 219 points at 24,635, led by strength in BA, AAPL, GS, MMM and DWDP.

Eight sectors were higher on Friday, led by technology XLK +1.70% and materials XLB +1.53%.

SPY up 2.66 at 273.60 on 71.2 million shares, 5% below average volume. Up on lower volume.

VIX down 1.97 at 13.46

Oil down 1.39 to 65.71

TLT down .92 at 120.30 on 8.7 million shares.

INTC +3.41%, DWDP +3.21%, led the DJIA, 27 advancers.

NKTR +12.56%, FOSL +8.32% and TRIP +5.89%, led the SPX.

ISRG +4.26%, MCHP +3.77%, EA +3.65%, and IDXX +3.43%, led the NDX.

Intermediate and long term up trend intact.  3-day short term trend is up.

Breadth strengthened on Friday, as advancers led 2,091 to 816 on the NYSE and led 2,082 to 830 on the NASDAQ.
