All nine sectors moved lower on Tuesday …XLU, XLP
and XLV
were the strongest sectors while XLE was again the weakest sector. Oil futures fell 1.01 to close at 43.88.
Breadth weakened as decliners led 2,312 to 757 on the NYSE and 1,897 to 693 on
the NASDAQ.

reported April manufacturing PMI at 49.4 down from 49.7 in March and the UK reported
its manufacturing PMI at 49.2 down
from 50.7 in March.
Futures sold off over night and US
stocks opened lower and sold until mid-day when buyers stepped and formed a
hammer. SPY, DIA and QQQ had higher lows than Friday. IWM did make a lower low than Friday.
SPY, DIA and IWM are still in bull flag pattern, even considering
Tuesday’s support test.
