SPX, NDX Open Higher, Trend Higher, Close Higher...Buyers Maintain Control into the Close...Technology, Industrials, Health Care Lead all Sectors Higher...After-hours: EXPE, TTWO Up on Positive EPS Reactions...

The SPX +119.81, 5,319, opened higher, after futures rose pre-market, trended higher and made its highest close of the week.  Thursday’s rally marks the first bounce this week that did not sell off and close lower than the morning high. The institutions rallied the market and buyers remained in control into the close.  This suggests that selling is exhausted from known information. The VIX opened lower and closed lower.

The NDX +3.06%, opened higher and closed higher.

PH +55.58, +10.84%, and LLY +73.17, +9.48%, were the SPX earnings gainers on Thursday.


After-hoursEXPE +11.73, +9.94%, and TTWO +7.43, +5.35%, on a positive EPS reaction.


Mega caps NVDA, META, TSLA, GOOGL, AMZN, AAPL, MSFT rose on Thursday.

VIX down 4.06 at 23.79
QQQ up 13.30 at 448.07
